Per 100 g, it has about 42.75 mg vitamin C (regular potato 23.15 mg), 3.22 mg iron (0.57 mg) and 2.28 mg zinc (0.28 mg), plus 42.05 mg anthocyanins. It was bred from a 2015 cross (MS/8-1148 × CP4242), notified in November 2024 for the north Indian plains and matures in about 90 days. Experts note a lower marketable yield than Kufri Neelkanth and field susceptibility to late blight.
