VISTAR brings MoSPI's surveys, state support and the Economic Census under one umbrella. The number of surveys rises to 59 from 43, and the 8th Economic Census will cover non-farm establishments down to gram panchayat/ward level. It will also form the base for a National Statistical Business Register.
